New Information Available From the Protein Data Bank Web Site

Published 06/19/2003

The Protein Data Bank (PDB) is the world's repository for three-dimensional protein structure information. New information is now available for all enzyme structures deposited in the PDB.

The Summary Information section of the Structure Explorer (SE) pages for enzymes in the PDB now displays the enzyme name for each entry along with the Enzyme Classification (EC) number. The SE page also supports queries for all other PDB entries with the same EC number; simply click on the number shown for that entry. Feedback on these new features is appreciated.

The PDB is operated by Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey; the San Diego Supercomputer Center at the University of California, San Diego; and the Center for Advanced Research in Biotechnology of the National Institute of Standards and Technology -three members of the Research Collaboratory for Structural Bioinformatics (RCSB).
